Self Assesment

GEOGRAPHY ENGLISH AND P.E

I can describe pictures with out having any trouble or getting stuck. I think one of my favorite things were the games that we did at 7th hour with Clarissa, because while you play and have fun with out noticing it, you are learning. I think I did quite good the oral exams, although I have to admit my English level and pronunciation has gone down a lot through the years. In the only thing that I am a little confused is knowing the fish and the fruits and vegetables. I practice English at home with my family and I watch some movies and series in English, it is also very helpful to listen to music in English because you get vocabulary easily, and it's pure American vocabulary. I need to improve my grammar. I learnt a lot about culture of Bangladesh, and other countries.

Agricultural landscape

GEOGRAPHY

I have chosen this fotograph because I think here you can distinguish quite well the type of plots and farming systems, even though we can't appreciate the type of rural settlements that it is
As you can see in this pic it is an open field because there are no boundaries
You can also see that is clearly monoculture since there is joust one type of crop
It is an irrigated farming because you can see that it is being watered by an irrigation system
If in this picture we saw houses near this field we would have to say if it the rural settlements were scattered or concentrated

Find the missing words

GEOGRAPHY

Africa runs 5000 miles from the Mediterranean sea all the way down to Good Hope cape and 4600 from Cape Verde all the way over to Somalia
Biomes are climate zones and throughout that area, throughout that region ,you can see the same average temperature and average precipitation what that means is that you also see very similar plants and animals living in that region.
The most famous desert in Africa is,of course, the Sahara desert. Now, some parts of the Sahara desert are sandy ,like you can see here.Other parts of the Sahara desert are rocky but in either case, the fact that is very dry is going to make it a very difficult barrier to cross.
It is not the rain itself that´s particularly important,it´s also the biodeversity. There are many different plants, animals species. That can be found in the rainforest and that´s one of the thing that makes the rain forest so valuablenot joust in Africa but throughout the world
The Nile river is the most famous river famous in Africa, because is the longest river in the world. But there is also the Congo river which is the ninth longest river in the world.
Africa actually has it´s own version of the Great Lakes with famous lakes like, lake Victoria, lake Malawi and lake Tanganyika
All Africa is a plateau. Meaning that africa itself is an elevated land. But that doesn´t mean that you cant find any mountains in Africa. You can find mountain ranges like, for example, the Atlas in norwestern Africa
Africa also has some interesting mountains like mount Kilimanjaro ,the highest in Africa which seems to joust rise on it own out of the ground

The Great Rift Valley refers to a region of Africa that is literally, being split apart. There are some tectonic plates that are located within or near Africa, that are, actually, moving away from each other, and what´s doing is creating not joust of the highest elevation in Africa, but also lakes like  lake Tanganyica that is among the deepest in the world

Trip to Valladolid

GEOGRAPHY

I think the trip to Valladolid was good, it wasn't too far and it was quite interesting.First we saw by our own a little bit of Valladolid, which I liked. After we went to a concert, and in my opinion it was a quite boring concert.Later we went to Carrefour and we had fun although we couldn't go to Mc Donalt's because in the end there weren't any.Next we got on the bus and went to see the Penafiel's castle and it's wine museum, which I would of enjoyed more if it was guided.Afterwards a guide showed us the castle and told us some information about it(it's history, the material that they used to construct it,it's rooms), I think it could be interesting for people who like castles, but not for me. I have to say that it had wonderful views. Last we got on the bus and we went directly to Villamayor.....

This landscape is in Brazil, it is the amazonian rainforest. It is located in the ecuatorial lanscape       (in the hot zones). In this place it rains all year long and very hard.Temperatures are normally high.As you can see it the picture the vegetation here is very lush and very green
As you can see in the picture the river (that crosses through the other lanscape) it has a high flow and it is also regular
Here you can find real dangerous and wird animals. Here animals are very different, some are small, some big, some can climb trees, some can fly,etc
